Tuesday, April 2nd

After our morning work, snack, and practicing our song...
we headed to the movie theater!
The scent of popcorn filled the air as soon as we walked in.
Mr. Nick led us on our tour of the theater by answering our first question, "How many hallways are connected to each other?"
Once entering the theater, friends were thrilled to see and explore "adjustable" chairs!

We found out that this room has 157 seats!

Why is there a window?

Mr. Jacob turned on the light and informed us that he makes sure that the movie showing on the screen is working properly and "tries his best" to fix it when there is a problem.
We learned that movie theaters have a Birthday Party room with treats.

Some friends were curious about the bathrooms.  We made sure that there were bathrooms for both "Men" and "Women" and differentiated the two according to the symbols.
Our next questions had to do with games and toys.  We found out that movie theaters have both!

We ended our tour in the concession stand area with a lot more questions.

We counted 26 different types of candy and everyone identified their favorite!

We learned the process of making popcorn and even go to take a sample with us.
  1. Turn the machine on
  2. Listen for the beeping sound
  3. put in the popcorn kernels, salt, and oil
  4. Listen for the beeping noise again
  5. Dump the popcorn out of the pot
Each batch of popcorn fills about 2.5 buckets and they sell about 100 buckets a day.

The salt used when making their popcorn is a yellow/orange color.
