Tuesdy, April 23rd

We shared a special note with our chapel buddies this morning.

My small group was asked, "What do you see in your cloud painting?" and "What can you tell me about clouds?"  as they practiced writing.
Writing is an important skill that children may not always be comfortable with.  It is important to give them opportunities to explore and experiment with the art of writing, regardless of a child's current skill level.

The independent group looked at books about butterflies and shared their findings with each other.
Friends played letter musical chairs with Mrs. Beltz.

During Jesus time, the class was shown a drawing consisting of an arrow pointing up with a cloud above it.  They were then asked to draw that image on the back of the next person.  As we moved through the room each child received and shared the drawing.  Mrs. Beltz was not given the image ahead of time and was the last person to receive the drawing on her back.  Below is the drawing that she recorded.  It was very similar to the original drawing.  The arrow and the cloud remind us of Jesus' ascension and the game reminds us of the important job of telling others about Jesus.
