One of the small groups listened to a story about sleepovers and practiced using the following vocabulary: first and last.
The other small group made guesses on what was inside of the bag. Several of the friends predicted that there would be a soccer ball inside.
They took turns lifting the ball to see how heavy it was.
Then they made observational drawings of the bowling ball and shoes.
During our morning meeting, friends made comparisons with short words and longs word. They also took turns counting the number of letters in watermelon and marshmallows. (The other group looked at how to write Wednesday and Sunday as part of their discussion. There are four more sleeps until we sing in church.)
