Mrs. Meyer joined us today and led a lesson called, "turn and talk".
This is an activity where students listen to a story/lesson and then turn towards a partner and take turns talking about the subject matter. This type of activity promotes oral language skils as well as social skills.
Mrs. Beltz and I demonstrated it for the class.
Talk and Turn also encourages active listening.
Structured partner work can also increase on-task behavior for students who struggle to sustain attention and focus in the classroom.
Friends made a journal entry after listening to a story about a pig named Cupcake.
We made Easter cards for the shut ins of our church congregation.
