Our question of the day was, "Do you like eggs?"
One of the friends was excited to tell us about how he likes his eggs... sunny side up!
Mr. Meyer led our Good Friday chapel service this morning.
Please join us for any or all of our special services this weekend.
During free choice time, friends were sharing with me things that we need to add to our baking area. After several of the friends listed different ingredients, one of the friends said, "more space".
What a great observation! With that being said, we jumped into action and rearranged some of the furniture to give us more space.
The extra space allowed more friends to work side by side in the kitchen which allows for more collaboration and communication.
One of the friends showed off his great organizational skills and gave our math manipulatives a new home.
Friends also worked together to organize the kitchen area. This was 100% child led in decision making of where items belonged. Problem solving, language skills, social skills, and spatial awareness skills were all being demonstrated through this process.
I have to say that I was amazed by the result! I only wish that my kitchen was so organized.
Here is a photo of the end of our free choice time.
First, we counted by ones and then one of the friends volunteered to count by tens. He did a great job!
