This morning, we made chocolate chip cookies without a recipe. Friends worked together to remember how they saw them being made by Mrs. Miller.
First we had to gather all of the tools.
Friends decided that we first needed butter. We started with only one stick and after creaming it, they decided that we should add another stick of butter.
With each new ingredient, friends selected which measuring tool was used as well as the number of scoops.
Friends voted to pour the dry ingredients into the bowl all at once.
Of course, we did not forget to taste test the chocolate chips before added them to the batter.
Our cookies came out of the oven looking a little different than Mrs. Miller's batch.
Friends decided that the cookies were crispy, sweet, and all around pretty good.
"This tastes good!"
We compared the number of ingredients used in each batch of cookies and found out that our cookies had one extra ingredient... milk.
Is that what made them flat?
