Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
Pastor Andy led our morning devotion in the hallway as we celebrate Holy Week.
Mrs. Miller came into our class today to show us how to make chocolate chip cookies.

We use our senses when making cookies. Friends got to feel the flour and the butter.
We used our sense of sight to see how the white sugar pours out of the measuring cup.
We also noticed differences and similarities between flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.
The first step is to cream your butter.
Smelling the vanilla was a very different experience than smelling the salt.
Friends were excited to see different shapes made with the brown sugar.
The sound of the mixer could be heard as the dry ingredients were mixed into the wet ingredients.
Everyone got to taste one chocolate chip before adding the rest to the cookie dough.
Our batter is ready!
