Thursday, September 4th

Our question of the day is one of my favorites, "Do you like chocolate?".

Today in Chapel, D.C.E. Myer shared the story of how Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the one tree He had told them not to touch. They wanted to be like God, but in doing so, they broke His command.
To help the students understand, Mr. Myer used a fun and memorable example. He put on a cape and pretended to be a superhero, trying to fly—but of course, he couldn't. He also tried to melt a candle with his eyes, like a superhero, but nothing happened. These silly but powerful examples showed that no matter how hard we try, we can’t make ourselves like God.
Through this lesson, students learned that trying to take God's place or do things our own way, like Adam and Eve did, leads to sin—but also that God loves us and has a plan to save us through Jesus.

Today, students took part in our first severe weather drill of the year. They practiced where to go and how to protect their heads in case of a storm. We’re proud of how well they followed directions—being prepared keeps us all safe!

Today in forestry class, students talked about their five senses and used sight and hearing to help them make keen observations in nature.
As part of the activity, students recorded pictures of their observations.
It was a fun and engaging way to connect with nature and learn how our senses help us explore the world around us!
