Good morning!
Mr. Meyer DCE (Director of Christian Education) led chapel today and shared with us how important God's word is. He made the comparison of playing a game on a firm surface vs. a soft surface and how God's word lays a strong foundation for us in Christ.
24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.

We worked on a variety of social skills to support problem solving with peers.
Teaching a child to sign “stop” gives them a simple, concrete way to communicate a boundary when a classmate is doing something they don’t like. At this age, children are still developing the language, self-regulation, and social skills needed to handle conflicts independently.
Friends also worked in pairs to practice how to appropriately engage in play with a peer by gently tapping their friend’s arm, saying their name, and asking, “May I play?”
