Thursday, September 11th

Mr. Meyer (DCE) led chapel today and used a visual to help remind us that we need a Savior.
He drew two cliffs.  One side had people on it and on the other side was God.
Because of sin, we can become separated from God.
Then he drew a long cross to represent Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.  This becomes the bridge from us to God and reminds us that Jesus is our Savior.
Today, Mrs. Dubke visited our class and helped us identify several different emotions.  She also taught us ways we can help a friend who might be feeling sad, angry, or scared.
Teaching emotions early gives children the tools to understand themselves, connect with others, and handle life’s ups and downs.

Afternoon Time

We explored the bridge and made discoveries along the way - mostly looking for areas that would make for a good campsite.

We saw an animal run and took turns guessing what animal might have made the path.
