Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph are all men of great lineage who trusted in God’s promises. This week, we are learning about Joseph and his family, exploring how God was with Joseph through both good and hard times.
My small group practiced writing and drawing shapes, then used those shapes to create people. The children explored how circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles can be combined to make recognizable figures. This activity supports early writing and geometry skills while encouraging creativity and fine motor development.
Mrs. Beltz’s friends worked on learning about number lines and exploring the ideas of more and less. Students used movement, counting, and visual number lines to compare quantities. They practiced finding “one more” and “one less,” helping build early math understanding in a hands-on, playful way.
Ms. Stutz’s group worked on visual discrimination between uppercase and lowercase letters. They also came up with words that begin with each letter’s sound.
This afternoon, we worked on organizing and labeling the food and some of the camping gear in our dramatic play area. This helps build independence, responsibility, and early reading skills by recognizing where materials belong.
